VSR PRO Series: 9m, 10m, & 11m Ribs
The VSR PRO 9m, 10m and 11m professional ribs are the ideal choice as tenders for motoryachts, for diving excursions, military and coast guard applications, and commercial ventures, as well as support and coaching of larger competitive sailboat campaigns.
The revolutionary design of the larger ribs is same as the VSR 5.8 C. The narrow water line, combined with the width of the stern, make the larger VSR models incredibly stable and easy to maneuver. In rough offshore seas the VSR ride is still smooth. If airborne, the touchdown is soft and smooth. The high bow allows for the easy exchange of crewmembers, guests or media persons from a yacht to the tender.
Boats can be supplied with either an inboard engine or outboard motors. The original prototype (developed for a VOR 70 syndicate) was equipped with an 190hp Volvo inboard with duo–prop. However, two 115hp Yamaha 4–Strokes will deliver the same acceleration and topspeed, as the inboard Volvo engine does. With either the two 115hp outboards or with the 190hp inboard engine, the VSR 9m can reach 40 knots in rough sea with 4 passengers and fully fueled up! The 3 separate working 200l–fuel tanks allow a minimum of 15 hours nonstop full–power use of the engines – this gives you a range of unbelievable 600nm⁄1100km without refilling!
The interiors of the larger VSRs may be custom designed, depending on the use. The standard model is outfitted with 4 jockey seats which are protected from spray and wind by a huge wind shield and a massive console. An A4–plotter fits on the console together with the other instruments. The windfinder, radar and VHF–antenna sit on the carbon mast in the back of the boat. An additional 4 seats (2 x 2 jockeys) might be fixed instead of a huge storage box in the back of the boat. Further storage is located in front of the console where also a life rack might be placed for emergency cases and offshore adventures.
The VSR 9m–11m PRO is the perfect solution for every big boat team. The larger VSR models provide a stable platform for media to shoot excellent pictures out of a dry and comfortable rib, allow the easy transfer of crew between races, and give guests and VIP an opportunity to view exciting racing on the water.
